Henri-Auguste Fourdinois was a French designer born in 1830 Paris, France and passed away in 1907. He was the son of the equally known designer Alexandre Georges Fourdinois. Fourdinois was an exceptional carver and technician who invented a System of Marquetry, in 1867. In 1878 Paris, he received the Grand Medaille. Fourdinois was a supplier of the King of Spain, Alfonso XII.
Alexandre Georges Fourdinois was a French designer and producer born in 1799 Paris, France and passed away in 1871. Fourdinois trained in Paris at the most successful and influential workshop Jacob Desmalter et Cie. In 1835, he opened the company Maison Fourdinois with Jules Fossey and Fourdinois et Fossey.
