Franco Albini was an Italian Neo-Rationalist architect and designer born in 1905 Robbiate, Italy and passed away in 1977. Albini studied architecture at The Politecnico di Milano University in Milan and received his degree in 1929. After, he began his professional career working for the Italian designer Gio Ponti. In 1930, he opened his own studio, one of his famous works is the Margherita and Gala chairs made of woven cane. Albini received three Compasso d’Oro, the most prestigious Italian design prize.
Franca Helg was an Italian designer and architect born in Milan, Italy and passed away in 1989. In 1945, Helg graduated from the Politecnico di Milano University in Milan. She collaborate many years with the Italian designer Franco Albini.
