Jules Dalou was born in 1838 Paris, France and passed away in 1902 France. He was a French sculptor. Dalou was trained by the French sculptor and painter Jean-Baptiste Carpeaux, later in 1854, he studied at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts. He was know for his wide range of works, such as reliefs, friezes, maquettes and bronze figurines. Dalou was once of the founders of the Societe Nationale des Beaux-Arts.
