Veranda
Stephen Block of Inner Gardens populates Grey-stone’s terrace with a sophisticated blend of exterior containers from around the world. A Phoenician Stone fountain, made from limestone recovered from an old farm house in Cyprus, blends seamlessly with Greystone’s Indiana limestone exterior. The plantings are a study in visual contrasts: English boxwoods thrive in Phoenician Stone’s Fontana di Campagnia, and dwarf Italian cypress trees satnd tall in Authentic Provence’s citrus boxes, first fashioned in seventeenth-century France and made of oak with cast iron posts today. The size of the fountain and planters is on a human scale, making this exterior space appropriate for any size gathering.
